The unique beauty and peace of the Sleeping Warrior Lodge make it an ideal location for a wellness retreat. Our team of experienced professionals led by our manager Jacqueline Damon will give you the tools to improve your health and wellness for the long term while you soak in the splendour of Soysambu Conservancy, a 49,000 acre private conservancy to which our clients have exclusive access.
On top of the hill stands the stone-built reception, lounge and dining room, below which is a stone terrace with fire-pit, a safari bar and extensive landscaped gardens.
Below, a track snakes through the acacia to the landscaped terraces where the ten wide-spaced natural stone cottages look out across an addictive view of Africa as she used to be. Kidney-shaped, and thickly thatched, each features an impeccably presented net-draped bed, a seating area, bathroom and outshot deck.
The Sleeping Warrior Eco Lodge is powered entirely by solar electricity. The water is heated by sustainably harvested Leleshwa wood, gathered by women of the local community and transported by donkey. The tents are roofed using traditional methods, locally sourced hay and local labour. The majority of the furniture is made from re-cycled cedar poles, once used for fencing on the colonial ranch.
There is no better place than East Africa to open up your mind and body to the joy of being alive and the immense power and beauty of nature. At the Sleeping Warrior Lodge you will be assisted by a team of friendly professionals to be your most energetic, balanced and joyful self.
